Art Markman Phd is Professor of Psychology and Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin and Founding Director of the Program in the Human Dimensions of Organizations. He has have written over 150 scientific papers on reasoning, decision making, and motivation, as well as several books on creativity, behavior change, and general psychology. Art’s research explores how we think. He has made a lifetime study of how people form and use analogies, the mechanisms of decision making, and how our motivation affects our reasoning. However when he’s not doing things related to Cognitive Sciences you might find him playing sax in a blues and ska band.
